Four acres of marshland are believed to have been deliberately set alight at Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve on 12 April 2015. So much time and effort has been put into making this such a wonderful habitat for wildlife. Devastating news !!!

Nice capture Carole. These creatures are a reminder of what's good about the world and not the mindless idiots that can cause so much devastation with their moronic behaviour.

hi carole a great close-up and my little reserve gets this treatment every year with grass burning and burning the wooden bridge and all we can do is keep trying to do our best in managing the land.the culprits are never caught here and i have never seen them do it which is lucky for them but maybe one day i will.it really stops me visiting my local for a little while because i get so angry.many tfs.all the best margaret.
