They seem to have taken over quite a few European cities. I saw my first ones in Brussels and my next bunch in Amsterdam. I wonder if they were popular pets back in the 60s/70s, "in fashion" until people realized how noisy they are. They seem to have been released in one city after another around the same decade.
 
i have a pair in my garden, they just love the almond and the tamarind trees. such lovely and cleaver birds.
