Roseate Spoonbill

Roseate Spoonbill (Platalea ajaja)

I was waiting patiently for the two spoonbills to finish preening and fly but they never did. But 5 others flew in to join them. My first flight shots this year of spoonys. Also lucked out with a brief glimpse of a skimmer. I got three quick shots before he disappeared. A really great morning for a change! At Huntington Beach State Park, SC

That's a superb flight captured Bob!!! A wonderful job here my friend.

Spectacular shot, my friend. Great looking bird with a beak that could knock out a half-gallon of ice cream in no time flat.
