Rosenberg lorikeets
This sub-species is endemic to the island of Biak. Their number is reduced dramatically and they are becoming very rare in Biak island, better chance to see them in Supiori.

Would have been a good candidate for this months camouflage competition. They maybe brightly coloured birds butin this setting you have to look hard to spot them.
 
Great photo. I have always considered this the most beautiful subspecies of a quite variable species. Sad that they are becomming rarer.
