Rosy ... after Sunset (Anthus roseatus)

Getting Rosy after
Sunset ...

A rarity ...
at the Forum

... and a Lifer
for us as well
only four images
of the
species before this
one ...

It was on Blood-Moon
day birding ... we were
doing the last
customary round of
the area after Sunset
... hoping to get
something interesting ...

... moving on a
dirt-track through the
the fallow land ...
dotted with clumps of
grass ...
... and suddenly ...
disturbed by the sound
of the engine ...
there flew a large
group of darkish birds ...
more than a hundred
... scattered over
the area ... and settled
in the more distant
clumps ...
a few ,though
luckily alighted
close to the vehicle
... allowing
us not only to ID ... but
take some reasonably OK
shots and shoot a small
Video-clip as well ...
... even in
a fairly dark setting ...

Congrats on your lifer guys and a beautiful record shot it is.

I would do the same but I guess without the moon .. I would not get it.
What I want to say is that even with the Blood Moon can I not get a lifer here. ;)
Awesome picture. Congrats again for your awesome lifers.
Superb continent for bird sightings and photography. Excellent!!
