Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Archilochus colubris)

It's a sad day, today. I came back yesterday from visiting my Daddy in Augusta, Georgia and today when I drank coffee on the back porch there were no hummingbirds. Of all the birds I had to take pictures of he was always there posing for me. It seemed that he would sit with me and look at me at times. I miss his company. Sometimes he would get really close to me and eat off the Hibiscus flowers. Here's one of my last photos.

A beautiful capture of this approaching Ruby-throat Daniel. Nicely captured.

a great photo of this lovely hummingbird, Daniel!! I'm sure he will come back next spring, top marks, many tfs!!!

I feel sure that when
he departed, Daniel,
his final words -- like
Arnie's -- were, 'I'll be back!'
A lovely last image to keep
you warm in the meantime.
