Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Archilochus colubris) looks like a juvenile male though it might be a female. Nectaring red bottlebrush (Callistemon citrinus: Myrtaceae). Like a lot of plants it goes by several common names. Some plant taxonomist are placing Callistemon citrinus in the genus Melaleuca.
Habitat
Gulf Coast Marshes and Prairies vegetation area, barrier island. Margin of a marsh with native and planted shrubs and trees at ca. 1 m (3.3 ft) elevation.

South Padre Island Convention Center, South Padre island, Cameron County, Texas, USA.
