Ruby-throated, juvenile male perched in a Yaupon
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Archilochus colubris) 1st year male. This little pollen-head was perched in a yaupon at a place it could ambush other hummingbirds coming by (lol).
Habitat
Post oak/yaupon dominated upland at ca. 88 m (269 ft) elevation.
