Song, delivered from rock or occasionally in flight, very frequent at start of breeding.
Invertebrates, including worms; small seeds, berries and fruit. Forages in skulking manner on ground beneath bushes.
Nest a deep cup of moss, dried stems and lichen, lined with grass.
