Rufous-gaped Hillstar (Urochroa bougueri)

We saw of these large hummers at Montezuma both around the lodge and as far up as the military base at the top of the main track. Rarely used feeders although they were present most places we saw this species. Another hummer that can look quite plain until it catches the light just right.

Moist cloud forest and edges (lower subtropical zone)
