Rufous-tailed Jacamar (Galbuia ruficauda subsp. heterogyna) Male, species somewhat sexually dimorphic. Along the banks of Ro Cuiaba, Porto Jofre, Pantanal, Mato Grosso, Brazil. Riverine with scattered cerrado and wetlands at ca. 110 m (361 ft).
Not all that much different, just a lighter shade of russet on her belly and tail. Makes for a less dramatic contrast with the brilliant greens, but she's still pretty flashy |=)|
