Only the second time in 15 years I've been able to capture the tail fanning at a low height.

These little guys turn up in our local area in Sydney to nest in early Spring. There are at least two pairs in our local wetlands. Their habitat overlaps with the resident Eastern Yellow Robin which is damp under canopy woodlands but they normally feed mid to high, while the Yellow Robin feeds mid to low. This was the first time I've seen one feeding around on the ground for a few minutes in 15 years. He was continuously fanning the tail in one second bursts as he darted about. Even faster than wagtails that I'm more used to.
No way I could have digiscoped this.
