Rush Bird (2) (Limosa lapponica)

Another picture of a bird in a hurry! ;)

This must have been one of the dimmest Autumns I can remember. This attempt with waders at the Beach was hard, as they move very quick but still I'm happy with this result of a Godwit. My tactic is to sit on the stairs by the beach and wait until the tide comes in bringing the birds close to me. This Godwit considered it was too close and rushed when it passes in front of me! ;) In fact, it's practically a full frame. A pity the light wasn't better, I would have loved this pic to look neater! Oh, well, we can't have it all!

You "Got it" beautifully despite it is in a rush, Marian.
A superb shot of this wader!

:t::t::t: A real beauty Mariandudettesis:t::t::t: I think you've done a 'Spanking' Job capturing this 'Speedy Ganzalis' as he swept past - very coolB :)B :)B :)

o:) Thanks and more thanks, loved reading those encouraging comments, and thank you too to everybody who clicked for your interest!!!

You didn't miss Russ Bird 1, Ove, but it was posted months ago... understandable you don't remember! ;)
Oh, Helwa g/f, sorry about your unlucky fate with the waders! :-C This tactic of mine needs loads of patience, staying there before the tide comes in, waiting very still... you'll be far from your waders, but they get accustomed to see you and when the tide brings them to you they'll be tame like pigeons! ;)
LOL about this feathered "Speedy Gonzlez" (that's in perfect Spanish, o:D), buddybro!!! :-O

A final "thank you" as usual... and as usual "Cheers, everybody!!! B :)" too!!! o:D

A superb shot of this speedy Godwit. The detail looks excellent to me. I like your tactic of sitting down and letting the birds come to you. Much more sensible than chasing after them. A terrific image Marian.

Super Godwit Marian, you have got really close Marian, and worth all the effort to get such good detail.
