Rusty Tussock Moth Caterpillar (Orgyia antigua: Erebidae) 3.0-4.0 cm (1.2-1.6 in) long.
Habitat
Gulf Prairies and Marshes vegetation area. Brazos River and Big Creek flood plain. Bottomland woodlands and open areas adjacent to 40 acre lake. at 12 m (39 ft) elevation.
Location
40 Acre Lake, Brazos Bend State Park east of Needville, Fort Bend County, Texas, USA.

Goodness, so many different kinds of fuzz on this one. And if he's anything like other fuzzy caterpillars, they're somewhat venemous and stinging. Good for survival, though.
