Sand Martins
Just after I'd taken the picture of the Rook, I noticed a lot of Sand Martins (and a single Swallow) flying past me. They circled round and went back to the cliff.

So I stood there trying to get a picture... ha ha!! Then my sister called me over. She was at the edge of the cliff!! She was looking sideways down to the cliff face where there were a lot of Martins flying in and out of nest holes.

I tried zooming in, but that was hopeless my reactions weren't quick enough, so took some wide angle shots instead!

It did mean I had to do quite a big crop in the end. But this camera does give me enough pixels to do so I think.

Good effort Delia...I can see the one thats perched is a Martin, LOL.

Top marks for effort Delia, a very tricky subject species especially inflight. At least you have the perched one, they don't easy or often either. Well done.

You did well getting any image all at that slow shutter speed, Delia; great behaviour to capture

You did very well capturing them obviously from a long distance, fine shot, Delia!! tfs.
