Sanderling in summer plumage

  • GPS
Taken in the Algarve, Portugal. Lying down on the wet sand covering myself with scrim-netting is no fun and hard work. Though a succession of waders, Kentish Plover, Curlew Sandpiper, Dunlin and a Collared Pratincole all came within the range of my lens made it all worth while.

Digiscope321 requested that I posted my recent images larger - so here we go (-:
Habitat
Salt lagoon
Location
Algarve, Portugal
Date taken
12 May 2008
Equipment used
Canon 1D MkII - 500mm f/4 IS lens - Beanbag - Canon Angle-Finder C - RAW - ISO200 - IS turned off as usual.
Lovely shot.

I had them scurrying around my feet recently in Devon, without any nets or camo gear! Just sat at the edge of a beach / links course :-O

Looks perfect in any size, Geoff. Though I encourage you to post the images in this size too. There is nothing much to be shamed of in your photos.. ;)
