sanderling (CALIDRIS ALBA)

This is one of my favourite pictures which I took when I was still fairly new to digital photography. When I first posted the image I new zilch about processing and I am embarrased by the terrible job I did. I hope it looks better now. I may just pull the original out of archive and stick it on the wall. It will be my first. It was a cold winter's day and I got a bit soaked by the cold wet sand and the odd freak wave but it was worth it, for me at any rate.

dancy ..no wonder you pictures are so good if this was your 1st picture...my first..amm...never mind...lol..excellent capture...like the delicate way it's beak is probing the floatsome..Thanks for sharing.:t:

Haven't seen the original processed shot, but this certainly has a lot of punch. Nice one

It looks pretty sound to me, I just can't get anywhere near these birds, must be going about it all wrong.
