He was doing his best to lure me away from his nest site piping for all his worth, a lovely sound, and succeeding.

Many thanks Wilma!! that's a good idea, next time i go to Loch Benechally i will take the bagpipes and maybe he will follow me. Can you just imagine if not only the sandpiper but a whole host of wild birds followed to sound of the pipes. LOL. Thats enough of this nonsense for now. Cheers.
 
Thanks Julie!! you've never lived. LOL. Seriously, there is a few sites on the NET that let you hear recordings of wild birds no doubt the Sandpipers call will be included, not quite the same experiance as hearing them and seeing them in the wild. cheers.
