Saturday Fun - Camera shy

I get a lot of pictures of birds flying off and I usually bin them but these was something I quite liked about this one so i kept it. I wonder if it's easily recognizable?

Off to my sister-in-law's in Helsingborg in the far south of Sweden on Monday. Staying for a little over a week and I hope to get lots of pictures of White storks, Red kites, Avocets etc. The weather forecast is looking good at the moment but it can be very windy there.

My first thought was Hawfinch Graham?

That's a super SF image lad .... and I can quite see why you like it too.

Many thanks for the laugh my friend.

Have a great time with you sister-in-law in Helsinborg. Sounds like it should be good.

Though I am not qualified to really say but like others in the know I thought it is was a Hawfinch. At the end of every photo shoot I have at least one of these, usually several (lol). Some of these can be quite interesting like this one. TFS Graham!

A great SF picture, Graham. This colourful whirling movement is attractive. I think it is perhaps a hawfinch because of the colours. Have a great birding in Sweden.

I was sure I had written a reply to say that Donald was the first to correctly identify that the bird is a Hawfinch but now I can't find my post. Must have done something wrong I suppose.
Thanks very much for all the nice comments on this picture and congratulations to all of you who knew it is a Hawfinch.
We had 4 Hawfinches at the feeders at the same time yesterday. It's a joy to see them every day.
