saturday fun(erin spotted this though)

this place is flooded farm land that i visit because a little egret and other waders appear here.the sun was shining and alot of geese and ducks, gulls and sheep, cattle around but out in the distance.i was watching a common buzzard soaring in the sky and trying to capture it as we settled down for our picnic.took my shoes off and erin had my old bridge camera and took pics of me the little bugger as she laughed me with juice and cigarette in hand a bad habit i know and thank god none of my off spring smoke.anyway i said where did the buzzard go and she said its on the pylon gran i said so it is but as i zoomed in with my camera and saw this i knew it was not my buzzard as i slide around the ground trying to get a better capture.brilliant day birding with one my gorgeous little grand-daughters.ps some of you mentioned this colourful pylon i did look it up before i posted it and all i know is here it means its not live.the saying is yellow meets red then your dead, yellow meets black then your ok jack.just like snakes.

I gather this Peregrine thought it was safe on the backside of the pylon with bars and a plate partially concealing it. Interesting to know about the color coding found on the pylons. TFS Margaret!!!!!

Love it Margaret. That youngster of yours is really turning into a great spotter, isn't she. A super tale and SF entry too.

It does sound like a great day out, Margaret! We had a wonderful time in Scotland and the weather was mostly good - more sunshine than rain and only one day we stayed indoors, apart from a short drive to the local shop in Uig.

You did very well to sneak any kind of image Margret. Very interesting info too, tfs.
Pepe

P.S. It may be worth checking the date on your Oyk images, a winter date would confirm your thoughts.
