We were a bit puzzled by this one, although I did work it out when it turned and I got a good shot of its face. Any guesses before I post that face shot?

LOL Ann.... I have enough trouble trying to ID that sort of bird over here, without trying to guess US birds.... unless it's a House Sparrow of course - but it ain't that!!

It would say what Delia said Doc. It looks like a House Sparrow, but I know back shots can be tricky.
