Saturday fun.....

..... or Dipper dipping
..... or Made a mess of that one

One from the evening at Jedburgh and I really don't understand how this happened.

OK the camera was on Aperture Priority

Settings:

F stop - 8
Exp time - 1/14 sec
ISO - 800
Exposure bias - 0
Focal length - 185 mm

The light was pretty good, and I don't understand why the speed was so slow. Another picture of a dipper taken around the same time had a speed of 1/25 sec.

Think I need some lessons!!;)
Habitat
Rocky river
Location
Jedburgh, Scotland
Date taken
30 April 2015
Equipment used
Fuji Finepix HS50
still knew what it was and i am not an expert as i have just started using aperture priority but i keep my f stop nearer 5 for close-up moving objects and even in low light those whites will cause blur so i find using my exposure helps alot.hope this helps but i still just play around and hope for the best.many tfs.take care delia.all the best margaret.

Whatever happened, the effect on the water is quite lovely. The bird ... well, thanks to you having started the Saturday fun series, there's always a way to enjoy our messes ;) And I do mean enjoy! Tfs!
