Saturday fun.....
.... Timing is everything

A rather handsome Collared Dove was feeding on the bird table at Sculthorpe so had to take his picture.

Just as I clicked, I saw some movement through the lens, when looked back at the table there was a female Pheasant sitting there!!

So this was how it happened!
Habitat
Inland wood, and wetland nature reserve
Location
Sculthorpe Moor, Fakenham, Norfolk
Date taken
6 May 2015
Equipment used
Fuji Finepix HS50
The first part of this image my eyes went to were the feathers on the left, which I saw as scales of a fish, and I instantly said to my myself, "how did she do that?"

Lol, another of your super SF image, Delia. Thanks for sharing. Best Wishes.

i adore collared doves, but very very very unlucky with them you don't see one in my gallery, sniff sniff always doing this to me.

A terrific one for the series, Delia ... you 'timed' it really well, LOL ...
I have put three links in the thread you mentioned ... lakescape images showing 9, 12 and 13 species ... one with 17 I'm yet to locate ... but soon I'll do it and post the link there ...

I wish I had a dollar for every time I tried for a bird and got an empty branch or a retreating tail for a shot. At least you got more than that!! A super and very fun SFS DT!
