Saturday Fun.....

.... or Headless
.... or How not to track a moving bird

The Crow landed on the shed roof and I started trying to get his picture (they're easily spooked).

Anyway, I had to lean to the side in my chair as he moved up onto the higher roof, all the time I was clicking away as he jumped up to the apex.

My sitting room window is in two parts, with a lower fixed pane; a wide wooden frame (which has the feeders hanging from it) then an opening window.

Just didn't realise I'd lost his head!!

A match for Anne's SF picture.

Town garden

I've taken so many photos of headless, tailless, feetless, beakless birds, birds with leaves or sticks or twigs in front of them, birds with shadows of leaves, sticks or twigs, photos of just an empty branch... I know exactly what you are talking about. Really makes me smile.
