Saturn Rising

Saturn Rising (Eulampis jugularis, Saturn)

This Purple-throated Carib is so busy feeding to notice the giant rising behind him;)
This scene takes place on Saturns strange moon Iapetus, which in reality is a cold and desolate place with no life, lakes or hummers to be found.
(but lets just pretend there is;))I hope you all enjoy this hypothetical piece as much as i did painting it :t:
Location
Saturnian system
Scientific name
Eulampis jugularis, Saturn
Equipment used
Acrylic paint, black paper, pastels and colouring pencils
Great piece of art, the way you see is an amazing synthesis of nature and(in) the universe.

Wow! Thank you both so much Alan and jb for your inspirational comments, they are much appreciated:t:
