We've had a family (or 2 or 3) living at my house and nesting in speakers on the front porch since we moved in 11 years ago. They were our first house birds. The noise from the speakers don't seem to bother them, nor does our coming and going. We've put up two phoebe boxes in the front porch rafters and they still insist on the speakers. They flit all over the front yard and occasionally stray into the back. This one decided to perch on a shrub within 4 feet of the backyard facing window where I take pictures. I had the 400mm lens on and had a hard time getting him in the lens he was so close. Missed a very small piece of his tail. Both male and female adults of this species look the same.
