Scarlet-headed Blackbird (Amblyramphus holosericeus) Juvenile. Sexes similar. Roadside along the Transpantaneira Road between South Wild and Porto Jofre, Pantanal, Mato Grosso, Brazil. Wetland dominated by Arrowroot also called Fire-flag in the USA it is referred to as Alligator-flag (Thalia geniculata: Marantaceae) at ca. 128 m (420 ft) elevation.

.... and the first juvenile to come in too. My word Stanley, you did have a good session with them, didn't you.

They seem to have a very long claw, don't they.
