Scarlet Tanager (Piranga olivacea) male.
Habitat
Gulf Coast Marshes and Prairies vegetation area, barrier island, Laguna Madre on the west side of the island and the Gulf of Mexico on the east side. Edge of a mesquite woodland at ca. 1 m (3.3 ft) elevation.
Location
West Sheepshead Street, South Padre Island, Cameron County, Texas, USA.

Excellent close-up of this brilliant red male. Not easy with the details in bright red plumages. Well done.
