:D gymell an excellent capture of this beauty...one of my favorites here in Wisconsin too, but have never seen any in my backyard. Their color is so striking. :clap::clap::clap:

And yes, we are just across the river from each other, how neat is that? |:D|
 
Thanks, it was a thrill to see one in my yard, even if only for a few brief minutes. I knew immediately it wasn't a cardinal because the red was much more vivid. I really hope to see it again this summer!
