Scissor-tailed Flycatcher (Tyrannus forficatus) stretching. Oklahoma’s state bird and is displayed in flight on the reverse of the Oklahoma commemorative quarter.
Habitat
Post Oak Savanna vegetational area. Margin of a small drainage feeding a marsh/swamp at ca. 91 m (300 ft) elevation.
Location
Blinn College Campus, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, USA.

A brilliant shot Stanley and great information to know. I used to live in Oklahoma as a kid soldier stationed at Fort Sill. Beautiful place and had Bisons. I love the Buffaloes.

How beautiful this Flycatcher is and I'm not sure I've ever seen one perched. A great capture guy!
