What a beauty! Terrific shot (did you use fill-in flash?) - beautiful colours and detail, and the catchlight in the eye. Good one!

No flash used, Jack. What you can see in its eye is a reflection of the roof of my house and the sky above it - I only know that because I have seen it much more clearly in the eye of a squirrel I photogaphed on the feeder.
