Scrub Blackbird (Dives warczewiczi kalinowskii)

Previously lumped with Melodious Blackbird (Dives dives) of Mexico and Middle America, the Scrub Blackbird is similar to the male Shiny Cowbird, but distinguish by Scrub's longer bill and legs. This is the much larger, more violet southern race. Their loud and complex song is created by duetting between the male and female of a pair, each bird singing different parts to create a whole song. Unlike many blackbirds, males and females look identical. Canon PowerShot SX60 HS.

That's a very handsome bird Joe, and quite a rarity for the Gallery too!

A super picture this lad - very well done.

Think you need to change the username in the picture to Jose;)
