Scrubwren (Immature)
This photo was taken at Wilson's Prom. It was very curious coming with in a metre of me as I sat in the shade. It lacks the markings of a white browed and by good advice its an immature bird

I can't be certain DA, but this looks very similar to a juvenile White-browed that I photographed here a few months ago. At first it had barely any markings; the white brow developed after about four weeks. Another feature of the baby White-browed here was that it was initially very curious and free of fear, like this little one.

I didn't think the Tasmanian version occurred at all on the mainland, but according to my book (Pizzey and Knight) they are found on some of the islands between Tassie and the mainland, so it's not inconceivable that some could have made it to Wilson's Prom.

Whatever it is, this is a brilliant photo of it - great work!

I think it is a young White-Browed Scrubwren also. I took a photo of one not long ago, will post it when I can find it.
Very nice shot.
