Just to get your spirits up a bit - I read earlier today that a whole (well, I'm sure it's small, but still a whole) island is being turned back into wetland somewhere in UK. It had been drained for farming decades (or maybe even centuries) ago, but isn't being farmed now, so they're taking rock and soil from a road tunnel project to make thresholds and small dams so it will again collect rain- and tidewater and turn back into wetland. |=)|
Oh, and I agree with Eric. Even without the egret it's a nice shot, but with the egret for contrast (double contrast since he's also flying out of synch with the ibises) it's really special!
