Sentinel (Chlidonias niger)

Out on the Boardwalk (0.3miles). Noting that there was a lot of Terns. I took some pictures. Then some people go on by. So I start over waiting for a couple more groups. Patients, and moving slow I head out again. This Sentinel kept me at about the same distance away, over, and over. This is a molting Black Tern, and I have some more images in different stages of molting. Those Juveniles are usually easy to approach if your lucky.

Beautiful capture Brian...A cracking bird in its breeding plumage, I've seen one over here in the UK.
