SF1 - Embarrased (Anas platyrhynchos)

three silly shots from yesterday to say how ashamed I am for having fallen behind on my browsing.

But the real story: One of the Goldeneye pairs on the duck pond at the botanical garden has hatched 7 ducklings. The female is being very defensive, chasing off every creature that comes near. She chased off a pair of Mallards, but after a bit they came back and got back to eating ... not Goldeneye ducklings, of course, but roots and shoots.
