Sharp-shinned Hawk closeup (Accipiter striatus)

April-15th, Tax-day was especially lucky today. This young one flew right by me and landed 40ft. away. AND, while I had my gear at the ready too. Had to swivel it around, focus and shoot in the 30-40 sec it remained studying me, but got it, got lucky this time!
