While I'm very pleased with getting perched shots of these fabulous birds, getting them in action is so much more difficult, and hence more rewarding when the occasional shot comes off.

This was taken at around lunchtime on Saturday, when it went for a brief sortie across the fields, and I happened to be lurking in the undergrowth!
