Short-eared owl at Burwell Fen (Asio flammeus)

  • Gleb Berloff
The murky day surely did dissapoint slightly. But at one point I noticed a short-eared owl flapping along Burwell fen. This was the best moment of the day, along with locating a hen harrier briefly on video in the evening. There are currently four of them there and are remarkable photogenic, but be warned that they are quite swift on the wing and surprisingly manoeuvrable
