Short Eared Owl (Asio flammeus)

Really wished I had a 500mm when I was watching this bird this afternoon - the extra reach would have been handy. I did get some closer shots, but they were very poor - I just couldn't keep up on MF and nor could the AF! I shall have to try again though and they are great to watch - just a little cold when hanging round for hours now!
