Thank you so much for the very kind and encouraging comments following my thrush photo last Friday. I do appreciate them very much.

We have had these magpies in the back garden for some days now - they never appear in the front. One of them has a very short tail so I am guessing he is a juvenile.

great capture kits.i notice alot of birds here in the breeding season with no tails.tfs.all the best margaret.

A charming capture in a lovely setting, Kits! The one with the short tail might have had a run-in with a cat or something. They do like to tease.
