This is the completed painting of guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes against the backdrop of 'The Standard' off the north coast of Orkney (Costa, Evie).

Beautiful work Tim, very vibrant! I was surprised to find that it was a painting - I didn't look at the category, so I thought it was a photograph I was clicking on - and even so, I had to look twice.

Tim,this painting is absolutely superb.

You really excel in painting stacks and sea of your northern islands.
The movements of the sea are wonderfully rendered,with a nice light on them.

The effect of the whole is very evocative:I hear the"kittiwake...kittiwake..." of the gulls, joined with the rumble of the waves.
