Laughing Shoebill! (Balaeniceps rex)

After a month of stalking this mega of a bird, I finally found the bird and set out across a lagoon to photograph it. Two hundred metres short of the bird, our dugout began to sink ...the blighter of a bird, I swear, was laughing!

LOL - great capture in difficult circumstances. What an interesting bird with a sense of humor it seems.

I am reminded of the David Attenbourogh "The Lives of Birds", and the segment on this bird. It is, indeed, an imposing bird. This is a good shot despite your missfortune. Well done. :t: :t: :t: :t: and :clap: for effort. ;)
