Plumbeous Water-Redstart for Donald
Plumbeous Water-Redstart - male (14cm).

I know Donald Talbott likes Redstarts and Dippers. I don't have any shots of our Brown Dippers but here's a Redstart for you.

The resident Redstart on Taiwan where it is fairly common. Race affinis is endemic to Taiwan. Both the male and female are blue. The male is a brilliant blue with a red tail. The female is a duller greyish-blue with a white tail.
Habitat
Forest streams from 500-2000m.

wow, what a beauty, very interesting how birds are similar from region to region yet they differ. i guess this is one of Taiwan's most beautiful song bids.
