Can I ask -what is the teleconverter you have mounted on the Sony & does it have any appreciable effect on image quality?

Steve, the lens is a Sony VCL-HG1758, great glass with no noticeable depreciation in image quality in good light and autofocus is spot on.

In poor light conditions the image shows slight reddish fringing if filming against the sky and brightness is reduced marginally probably the same effect as adding a 1.4x converter to a DSLR.
