Adult Harris's Hawk (Parabuteo unicinctus)

One of the members of the Harris's Hawk family I saw on my trip to Tucson this week. Harris's Hawks are different than most hawks as they normally stay in small familial groups throughout their lives. They will often hunt in small cooperative groups.
Habitat
In the US, found in Southwest Texas, extreme southern parts of New Mexico and Arizona, normally found south of that in Mexico. Inhabits semi-arid woodland and brushland.
