Western BLUEbirds

Western BLUEbirds (Sialia mexicana)

I've lived in Arizona since 1989, except for brief stints out of the country with the military. Western Bluebirds are found all over Arizona, or so I was told. I never saw a Western or Mountain Bluebird until this winter and have now seen both in my yard. I didn't realize how vibrant the blue could be until today when I saw this bright fellow and his friends.

Location

Wowzer Lisa. I've seen a few bluebirds together but never this many. What a neat find and capture.

Certainly is vibrant in a lovely image.
So "the grass is always greener....etc." as I would love to think that I could see these in my yard.

A smashing shot of this little group Lisa..and as you say what a vibrant blue they are.

What a fabulous shot Lisa, and the colour is terrific - six all in one shot. Wow!
