Juvenile Black-throated Sparrow (Amphispiza bilineata)

One of the many that fledged on the land this year. Most years the Black-throated tend to leave and nest elsewhere. We had a large number here this winter and a significant amount stayed for the mating season.
Habitat
Found in desert with bare open ground.

A real little cutie, three nice Lisa, good to see you posting again.

We don't see all that many of this species here in the Gallery and I sure don't think we've ever seen a juvie of this species. Well done.

Now I have to see why Opus is not recognizing this. ;)
