A Sardinian from Sardinia (Sylvia Melanocephala)

Spent a week in Sardinia: after a very rainy spring the sea was a little bit too cold for swimming but on the other hand warblers were still vocal and unusually showy for the period - I liked the change :)
Habitat
lowland scrub
Location
South Sardinia
Date taken
June 2010
Scientific name
Sylvia Melanocephala
Equipment used
500 mm + 1,4X, monopod
WOW and mega WOW for this great and perfect capture of this sylvia beauty. very very similar to our endemic Arabian warbler but without the red eye ring.

A really super detailed close-up image Stef, good work my friend.

Wow, wow, wow!!! o:) That's a spectacular shot of a singing Sandinian, Stefano, the little guy seems to be giving it all... and so you did too!!! ;) Sensational capture, very loud standing  to you, amico!!! o:) :t: :D
