Changing to an Adult (Piranga rubra)

This is a second calendar year male Summer Tanager that is starting to get his red adult color. Looks a little mottled and bedraggled.
Habitat
Usually found in mixed woods near water. The monastery borders the San Pedro River.
Location
Holy Trinity Monastery, St, David, Arizona

I usually get to see one each summer but haven't yet.
 
Looks just lovely to me, Lisa! Beautiful shot... Nice to see birds that I'm not familiar with at all. (I posted another puffin shot, but with sand eels, as you seem to enjoy this kind of image.. great birds aren't they?!)
 
Never heard of this bird before Lisa!! but can imagine it will turn out extraordinary beautiful, superb image of this youngster mate, :t::t::t:
